About R Tuned
R Tuned culminated from the idea of taking my already existing knowledge of the aftermarket performance industry and EFI Tuning to the next level. I took an interest in tuning after purchasing my first Subaru while living in Texas. Shortly after, I moved to New Hampshire, and attended Universal Technical Institute for Automotive, as well as interred with a local performance shop on the weekends between other jobs. I have always been driven to learn challenging tasks, and develop the ability to perform a large portion of the build process from start to finish.
I attended EFI 101 at Xenocron tuning in 2017, and a Cobb Pro Tuner Certification class in 2018. From there, I spent my time building and tuning cars for customers, as well as taking on other projects to try and enhance my knowledge on other platforms.
Since I have started, I have tuned well over 1500 Subaru's and various other platform's on a wide variety of ECU's. I have been tuning professionally full time for several years, so knowing the "in's and out's" of what modifications work best for most setups, as well as a strong mechanical understanding helps tremendously.
I currently race a 1996 Civic Hatch in the New England Hillclimb series. I tune several of the competitors vehicle's, as well as others in Rally and SCCA. If you have interest in racing, below are some links to various racing organizations and sanctioning bodies. The more people that are interested and compete in racing, the longer this hobby and profession will continue.
